Description

Greylock Edge is a bespoke early-stage company-building program from Greylock Partners, one of Silicon Valley’s oldest and most respected venture capital firms with a long history of backing transformative tech companies. Rather than operating as a traditional accelerator with large cohorts, Greylock Edge offers intensive, personalized support to a very small number of founders over ~3 months, helping them move from pre-idea or pre-seed toward product-market fit. Founders work directly with Greylock’s experienced partners and resources — including AI researchers, hiring support, customer discovery networks, and more — to refine ideas, validate problems, build early products, recruit initial teams, and secure initial customers, without rigid programming or mandatory group workshops. Funding is flexible: founders can choose to take investment (priced round, an uncapped SAFE, or other terms) or none at all, depending on what best fits the company’s needs.

Eligibility

Greylock Edge is best suited for founders who: - Are in very early stages — pre-idea, pre-seed, or early seed — and open to building from the ground up rather than joining a standard accelerator cohort. - Have the drive and commitment to focus intensely on company-building over the program period, prioritizing idea refinement and progress toward product-market fit. - Are looking for highly personalized collaboration with trusted operators and investors rather than generic curriculum or large cohort programming. - Can benefit from flexible funding options — from no external capital to a priced seed round or uncapped SAFE — tailoring the investment structure to the company’s specific needs. - Are ready to leverage deep operational support, early hiring help, and introductions to potential early customers and design partners as they build. Greylock Edge accepts applications on a rolling basis and does not require founders to take Greylock’s capital in order to participate.
