Description

Antler Residency (Australia) is a high-intensity early-stage startup program run by Antler, a global venture capital firm and “Day Zero” investor that backs founders from idea through funding and scaling. The Australian Residency is a 10-week, full-time in-person cohort across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane where exceptional founders form teams, validate business ideas, and build early traction with the support of experienced coaches, workshops, and a global network. Participants work through structured sessions on co-founder matching, problem-solution fit, market validation, business modelling, and pitch preparation, culminating in a final investment committee pitch where selected teams may receive pre-seed funding and ongoing backing from Antler’s global venture platform

Eligibility

Antler Australia’s Residency is best suited for founders who: - Are founders or aspiring founders ready to commit full-time to building a startup; this can include individuals without an existing company or team. - Have the ambition to build a scalable tech or innovative venture, even if they do not yet have a fully formed idea — Antler helps with ideation and team formation. - Are prepared for a 10-week in-person commitment in either Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane, working closely with others in a structured residency environment. - Demonstrate strong founder potential, problem-solving ability, grit, and motivation, as evaluated through Antler’s multi-stage application and interview process. - Are eligible to attend in person (visa requirements apply if not an Australian/eligible resident — check official guidance). There is no requirement for participants to have an existing company or revenue; teams may be formed within the residency itself.
