Fit notes
Good fit if
- Startups building AI, blockchain, data or other frontier technologies with clear social impact.
- Founders developing open-source solutions in eligible UNICEF Programme Countries.
- Teams seeking non-dilutive funding and global institutional credibility.
Probably skip if
- Commercial startups without a child-focused or social impact mission.
- Companies unwilling to open-source their funded solution.
Why it matters
The UNICEF Venture Fund is one of the world's most distinctive non-dilutive funding programs. The combination of US$100K equity-free funding, UNICEF's global credibility and institutional network, and a strong track record of backing frontier technologies makes it exceptionally valuable for mission-driven startups that meet its specialised eligibility requirements.
