Description

The Blackbird Giants program is a flagship early-stage mentoring and founder development program run by Blackbird Ventures, one of Australia & New Zealand’s most active venture capital firms. Designed for aspiring founders who are at the very beginning of their startup journey, Giants helps you explore and validate an idea through structured mentoring, cohort-based learning, and community connections with experienced founders, operators, and investors drawn from Blackbird’s network. Over an eight-week cohort cycle, participants engage in one-on-one mentoring, interactive content sessions on core startup topics (e.g., MVP development, pricing, pitching), and community-level networking opportunities — including in-person meetups when possible — to build confidence and early momentum from idea to early execution.

Eligibility

Blackbird Giants is suitable for founders who: -Have an early startup idea they’re ready to explore, test, and validate. -Are at the pre-company or early idea stage, not yet fully launched or scaling. -Can commit to an eight-week cohort, typically requiring ~3 hours per week of engagement with mentoring sessions and content. -Are willing to learn from experienced operators and investors and grow within a community of peers. -Are comfortable with occasional in-person networking and community events when available, though much of the program can be accessed remotely. -Founders from Australia and New Zealand are especially well-aligned with the program, but global applicants exploring early-stage entrepreneurship may also find it valuable
